Installation in 'home' Directory on Ubuntu

After having texlive installed through ubuntu package manager and breaking my head over stupid things that just needed a package update, I decided to manually install texlive. I installed texlive under /home/texlive/ but now I'm wondering if this might cause problems as it's not in a usr folder (/home/name/...) Will this cause a problem ?
Can I just move the folder and change the path,manpath,... accordingly ?

Any help will be apprecited.

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
